Miami Linux Users Group (Every Third Saturday of the month) [User Group Event] (United States)
The Miami Linux User Group is a community of friends devoted to bringing freedom and choice to computing through the use of Free Software.

We meet periodically to share knowledge, ideas, and to bring free software to schools and organizations in South Florida. Through our knowledge we will be empowered and we will empower others.

We welcome Linux users of all levels of experience. Our focus is two-pronged, to let more experienced users share their knowledge with each other, while these users serve as mentors to new users of Linux.

We meet the third Saturday of every month at ITT Tech, which is located here:

7955 N.W. 12th Street, Suite 119. Miami, FL 33126.

Los Angeles LAMPsig (Every Third Saturday of the month) [User Group Event] (United States)
The Los Angeles LAMP Special Interest Group (LAMPsig) is an off-shoot of the Linux Users of Los Angeles (LULA) group. LAMPsig is focused on web development and end user web interfaces. The LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) is the SIG's starting point.

The concept of an open source web development and web hosting platform matters much more than the acronym chosen to represent it. The open source nature of the platform is its greatest strength. So any alternative open source components will work just as well (e.g. FreeBSD AOLServer PostgreSQL Perl).

Data-based Web Development with an emphasis on Linux, Apache, MySQL, & PHP.
