    mb_strtoupper — Make a string uppercase

    function mb_strtoupper(string $string, ?string $encoding = null): string

    Returns string with all alphabetic characters converted to uppercase.

    Параметри

    string

    The string being uppercased.

    encoding

    Параметром encoding вказується кодування символів. Якщо він пропущений або null, використається внутрішнє кодування.

    Помилки/виключення

    As of PHP 8.0.0, a ValueError is thrown if encoding is an invalid encoding. Prior to PHP 8.0.0, an E_WARNING was emitted instead.

    Примітки

    By contrast to strtoupper(), 'alphabetic' is determined by the Unicode character properties. Thus the behaviour of this function is not affected by locale settings and it can convert any characters that have 'alphabetic' property, such as a-umlaut (ä).
